Modiphius DOOM Arena board game Kickstarter ends November 21st, bringing PvP miniature combat in either 1993 pixelated nostalgia or grimdark medieval flavours. Thirty years later, time to kick death up the arse one more time. Again. #DOOM #boardgames #Kickstarter
There are only seven more days in which to back Modiphius’ DOOM | Arena Board Game.
This latest Kickstarter campaign offers backers the opportunity to back this new ‘PvP miniatures board game.’ Based on the popular videogame franchise, this board game is described both ‘fast-paced’, ‘brutal’ and ‘simple as hell’; it is also available in two flavours: DOOM (1993) and DOOM: The Dark Ages.
DOOM (1993) | Arena Board Game revisits and revives the original version of this iconic game. It pays homage by ‘rendering the iconic pixelated aesthetic of the first game into amazing PVC miniatures’ and offering the opportunity to play as the ‘legendary Doom Guy’ or as ‘an army of iconic demons.’
For those who prefer something a little more up to date, DOOM: The Dark Ages transforms this new chapter in the saga into a miniatures game ‘drenched in grimdark, medieval fantasy’. It offers players the opportunity to play as either Doom Slayer, or as ‘the ravenous legions of Hell itself’; these include signature creatures such as Hell Knights, Manucubi and ‘the gargantuan Titans’.
Both versions use the same basic rules, with each featuring their own additional and unique additions. All the weapons and abilities showcased are ‘pulled directly from each video game’, and both versions include a suitable array of authentically detailed, high-quality PVC miniatures.
This campaign ends on Friday, November 21st at 8:00 PM UTC.
