HPLHS Announce Prop Laden Eternity at Sea Scenario for Call of Cthulhu

The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society have announced the opening of pre-orders for their all-new Eternity at Sea scenario for the Call of Cthulhu Roleplaying Game. HPLHS don’t just do your standard scenarios though, they pack the box full of ultra-realistic period props to help bring the game to life plus audio props, 3D Maps, and more!

Following a death in the family, the Investigators are summoned to the old family farm outside of Astoria, oregon. The circumstances of the death turn out to be strange and the terms of the deceased’s will are stranger still. Can family members with diverse agendas work together to uncover a bizarre chapter of their family’s history, or will they be destroyed by otherworldly horrors hellbent on collecting an old debt?

Eternity at Sea is written by Sean Branney, with the props created by Andrew Leman, the two masterminds behind HPLHS. The box, which is due for release in mid-July, is on pre-order now and pre-orders come with an extra bonus prop if ordered before July 1st. The adventure usually takes between 6-8 hours to play in full.

Props & Handouts

• 25 documents, including newspaper clippings, maps, photos, letters, legal documents and much more, crafted with painstaking detail to provide your table with cinema-level props for unparakkeked realism and fun.

• Pre-Order Bonus Prop - orders before 1st Jily will receive a free bonus prop which HPLHS have described as “so over-the-top we dare not include it in the regular retail version of the game!”

3-D Architectural Model Kit

• Some of the locations in this story relate to each other in an unusual way, so HPLHS have created a model kit to bring the usual gaming floor plans into 3-dimensional life. Packed flat for shipping, the model will take the Keeper about 30 minutes to put together, following the instructions and using just ordinary tape or glue.

Audio Props

• 9 audio props, recorded by professional actors to dramatize key NPC interactions during the investigation.

Game Book

• A lavishly illustrated 56-page perfect-bound game book with vintage photos and original artwork by Ukrainian illustrator Vladyslav Yurasov.

• Pre-generated characters specially crafted for this story.
