1930's Lovecraftian Horror Miniature Wargame Comes To Kickstarter

Cosmic Horror by Spectre Miniatures is a new supernatural horror miniature game set in 1930’s America.

“Players take control of small Assembles of subjects - cults, criminal enterprises, government agents and academic institutions are all drawn to the dark corners of the earth in the search for fragmented knowledge, lost and hidden from mankind.

There is no good side or bad side in Cosmic Horror - everyone has an agenda.

Confront other player’s Assemblies and non-player Entities. The fight is both physical and psychological - dispatching your opponents with violence degrades the mind through Horror and Corruption, leading to Cosmic Horror rising - brining game wide atmospheric effects.

Will you gather this knowledge to better understand the world, suppress and destroy it, or use it to usher mankind into a new dark age?

Whatever you decide, remember, Do not call up that which you cannot put down.

Dynamic gameplay is achieved through the use of Mythos Cards, which are discovered when investigating Mahor Mythos locations. These cards shape the game in unpredictable ways, by granting Fragments of knowledge, inflicting Horror, raising the levels of Cosmic Horror, or bringing uncontrolled Entities in to play.”

The Core Rulebook is a 200+ page hardcover that covers everything you need to play for either stand alone or campaign games for two or more players. It also includes loads of lore and an extensive scenario section.

The Starter Set includes the Core Rulebook as well as a number of figures to get you started and the Mythos Cards Deck. There is also an Enhanced Starter option which includes everything from the Starter Set plus miniatures for Ghouls, Entities, and Reanimated Husks.

The figures look great and are available to pick up by themselves, which is great for anyone with an interest in 1920’s/30’s Cthulhu Mythos roleplay or other games.

Spectre Miniatures already have a few sets of Cosmic Horror miniatures not in the campaign available to buy on their website.
