Gloomhaven, Cascadia and More Go Mini in Brotherwise's New Shelfy Range

If you are a board gamer and spend any amount of time on social media you’ll have seen, and possibly contributed to, the ‘Shelfie’. With Brotherwise Games forthcoming Shelfy you’ll no longer need your Kallax and wall space, just your desk top.

Board Game Shelfies are photographs of a person’s board game collection and proudly posted to social media groups or gaming forums. Inspired by this Brotherwise Games have recruited 20 publishers and are debuting Shelfy Season One at Gen Con in Indianapolis later this month.

Shelfy consists of a range of collectible miniature board game boxes. Season One features 28 board games, ranging in rarity from Common, Rare, and even Special Rare alternative holofoil covers, with games such as Gloomhaven, Terraforming Mars, and Boop included.

Shelfy will be available as a Starter Set which includes five starter games (Dune: Imperium, Super Boss Monster, Champions of Midgard, A Place For All My Books, and Cascadia), their corresponding Collector’s cards and a six-inch miniature gaming shelf for you to display your collection on. In addition to the Starter Set blind booster boxes will offer up 3 randomized mini boxes made of wood, and their matching collectible cards.

AEG, Dire Wolf, Devir, Stronghold Games, and Van Rysder Games are just a few of the 20 publishers who have signed up to the first season of releases. In addition to the miniature game box, you receive a corresponding Collector Card that tells you about the game, showeing you the art and links to the publishers website.

If successful Brotherwise Games already have plans for what they’d like to include in Season Two.

Time will tell if miniature desk top Shelfy’s challenge their fullgrown namesakes for social media stardom.
