The Return of Some Iconic Grenadier Models? Stranger Things Have Happened...

If you have either watched Netflix’s smash-hit Stranger Things series, or were a gamer back in the 80’s, then you’ll probably recognise this range of miniatures.

The range, originally produced by Grenadier Models, was pretty popular back in the day. I still have a few of them (with hideous paint jobs thanks to younger me) packed away, but for many people this will be the first opportunity to get your hands on them for quite a while. Not least because Grenadier Models went out of business over 20 years ago.

Italian company Mirliton, who have been selling miniatures since the early 80’s themselves, brought the Grenadier Models assets in 2003 after the previous owners went bankrupt. Mirliton have been producing a number of the old Grenadier miniatures but have turned to Kickstarter, and a quick fire 12 day campaign, to collect a number of the figures together inspired by the Stranger Things show.

Adventures in the Upside-Down allows you to relive the adventures that Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, and co, had through their Dungeons & Dragons campaign by supplying you a set of miniatures featuring sculpts that appeared in the show, along with some selected characters to complete the group of adventurers.

There are 14 28mm scale miniatures in the set, including the classic Demogorgon sculpt that appeared in series 1-5, Mike The Paladin (also series 1-5), Dustin The Dwarf and Lucas The Ranger (both series 1), and a host of other figures including Will The Wise, The Litch (Vecna), and Eddie The Bard.
