Steamforged Games' Monster Hunter Expansions Back in Stock
Body
Rejoice, Monster Hunter fans! Steamforged Games’ Monster Hunter World expansions Kirin and Picking Bones are back in stock!
A ‘cooperative combat campaign board game for 1-4 players’, Monster Hunter World allows you and your friends ‘to track down and slay the monsters roaming the New World’. As one might expect, players win by slaying the most monsters. Slaying those monsters not only earns you the opportunity to pursue a hobby in exotic taxidermy, but to also build bigger and better weapons; the biggerer and betterer those weapons, the biggerer and beastier the monsters you can hunt!
If you get really good at hunting monsters, then you can have a crack at the creatures in the Kirin and Picking Bones expansions; these include the titular Kirin (a ‘powerful elder dragon’ who looks a lot like a unicorn with a really, really bad case of psoriasis, and the Tzitzi-Ya-Ku (which attacks its enemies with ‘stunning flash attacks’), the ‘serpent-like’ Great Girros (‘paralysing strikes’) and the ‘bone-studded […] rolling ball of pain’ that is Radobaan.
Each of these expansions includes stunning and highly detailed monster miniatures, as well as all the cards, rules / quest books, tokens and bases required to get these beasties onto the table.
