Sirius Dice Brings D&D’s Iconic 1983 Red Box Cover to Life as Metal Miniatures

For many older roleplayers, the 1983 Dungeons & Dragons Basic Set was their entry into worlds of imagination and often a lifelong interest and love of roleplaying games. Now Sirius Dice are taking us back to the 80’s with a set of four miniatures inspired by Larry Elmore’s famous cover.

Dungeons & Dragons: Sirius Metal Miniatures - Red Basic Set features the mighty Dragon and Male Fighter from the cover, joined by a Magic-User and a Thief. The figrures are 32mm scale and cast in a classic metal alloy with an antique finish, giving them a satisfying weight.

The D&D Red Box Basic Set Minis are currently available to pre-order at local game stores, Amazon, or through Sirius’s own webstore, and are due for a September 2026 release.
