Mythic Enter Liquidation

Controversial board game developer Mythic Games has filed for liquidation, marking a probable end to its nine-year history.

Although lauded for games such as Joan of Arc, Reichbusters and Darkest Dungeon, it reputation was also sullied by its preternatural powers of mismanagement, poor communications and infamous crowdfunding campaigns.

Mythic Games was founded in 2015 and soon garnered tremendous success by crowdfunding expansive, miniature-heavy board games. However, any lustre soon wore off as the poor production of their games quickly led to long delays and disappointing miniatures.

Financial struggles forced Mythic Games to sell the IP for games such as Hel: The Last Saga and Anastyr to CMON earlier this year.
