Chaosium Release Four New Pendragon Books
Body
Chaosium have released a foursome of new Pendragon books, and they’re just a little bit special.
Now available from the Chaosium website, this quartet includes three deluxe and delightful additions to the Pendragon roleplaying game, and a graphic novel.
The RPG releases are spearheaded by Pendragon: Magnum Opus Edition. Bound in a ‘rich red-and-gold leatherette’, this ‘special collector’s edition’ of the core rulebook celebrates two milestones: the 40th anniversary of Pendragon and the 50th anniversary of Chaosium.
A ‘unique collector’s edition of the Pendragon core rulebook’, the Magnum Opus Edition contains everything required to play the Pendragon RPG; it is also compatible with the rest of the Pendragon 6th edition range.
Pendragon: The Arthurian Companion - Special Edition is home to a cornucopia of Arthurian lore and legends. Boasting in excess of 1000 entries, the Companion details ‘all the people, places, and things associated with the Arthurian stories’, allowing roleplayers to ‘more readily immerse themselves in the Pendragon setting’.
Those of you who want to better understand Arthurian lore may also be interested in Pendragon: The Annotated Le Morte d'Arthur. This new edition of Sir Thomas Malory’s Le Morte d’Arthur is accompanied by insights by Arthurian scholar John Matthews and is ‘perfect for Pendragon players and GMs wanting to immerse themselves in Arthur’s Britain’.
Finally, volume one of Le Morte d'Arthur: The Graphic Novel features a ‘whimsical and darkly gothic’ rendition of Mallory’s epic Le Morte d’Arthur. With artwork by Tom and Nimue Brown, this version captures the Arthurian legends ‘in a unique style that truly captures the imagination’.
