The Great Nothing Games are preparing to launch the War of the Worlds - One More Day on Kickstarter.

Having been demoing and fine-tuning this deckbuilding game of exploration and survival for some years, The Great Nothing Games are almost there. The Kickstarter pre-launch page is now live and the count-down has begun.

A solo game of ‘deckbuilding, exploration and survival’, War of the Worlds - One More Day is set during the Martian occupation of Great Britain. The country is in chaos with the population and its military fighting for survival, food and shelter. The red weed subsumes every road, field and river, and Martian fighting machines bestride the nation as they quash any and all resistance.

Having been a fan of the novel—and of the course, Jeff Wayne’s musical adaptation—since childhood, I am very excited to see this game will soon become a reality. The Great Nothing Games have been demoing the prototype at shows for years, and I can’t wait to get my grubby little mitts on it.
