(Crowdfund Quest) Warriors of America

Crowdfund Quest is a daily column that takes us on an expedition into tabletop crowdfunding with a look at a current project in the tabletop gaming world.

Todays Crowdfund Quest spotlight is a new 1-2 player wargame of the American War of Independence by Compass Games. Compass Games have been in business for over 20 years and have produced some fantastic games in that time. Warriors of America is their latest crowdfunder.

Warriors of America is a fast-playing game on the American War of Independence, inspired by the well-received game Warriors of God. It features the leaders, soldiers, fleets, and events that were pivotal in this war. The map is focused on the colonized coastal regions while reaching west to Indiana and north into Canada. Major events will shape each season and both sides will call on their allies; the french, Spanish, and Dutch rallying to the Americans, and Hessian mercenaries coming to the aid of the British. The American player must raise money and an army that, while less trained, is highly motivated to prevent the British player - commanding perhaps the greatest army in the world - from putting out a revolutionary fire that is about to change history.

Warriors of America plays through the American Revolution from the fallout of Lexington and Concord in the Summer of 1775 to the Summer of 1782. Both players will use their resources to attempt to reduce the enemy’s morale to 0. When this happens during the Victory Check Phase, the game ends and the player not at 0 morale is declared the winner. If you reach the Summer of 1782 and neither plater has morale of 0, the game ends and the player with the higher morale wins.

The game caters for 1-2 players, ages 14+, and usually takes around 4 hours to play.

Warriors of America is currently funding on Kickstarter and runs until Sunday 12th July 2026.
