Origins of Light: A Final Fantasy Board Game heads to Kickstarter

KessCo’s officially licensed Origins of Light: A Final Fantasy Board Game is set to launch on Kickstarter on Tuesday 20th October 2026. The cooperative game is based on the Pixel Remaster editions of Final Fantasy I, II and III.

For 2 to 4 players, ages 12 and up, the game has players build a party, equip heroes with spells and gear, then venture forth into dungeons to face monsters and bosses before time runs out. The campaign begins with a module based on Final Fantasy I, with players able to advance to the Final Fantasy II and III modules for greater challenges.
