Ize Press Announce English Edition of Solo Leveling The Board Game

The cooperative boardgame, based on the popular Korean fantasy series, is being translated to English for the first time.

Ize Press, the English-language imprint of Yen Press responsible from bringing Korean novels and comics to the English-speaking markets, announced it is expanding into tabletop gaming at Anime NYC on Sunday.

Ize Press announce the Standard and Ultimate editions of Solo Leveling The Board Game, a cooperative tactical board game for 1-4 players, allowing Solo Leveling fans to take on roles of hunters from the series to clear dungeons by battling familiar bosses.

Step into the shoes of your favourite characters from the bestselling novel and comic, Solo Leveling! Form a party of up to four players and go on an epic campaign to defeat seven iconic bosse monsters from the series, with fun twists to keep each round as entertaining as the last. Venturing on a solo quest? Then take up the mantle of the protagonist, Jinwoo Sung humself, in the Solo Leveling camp[aign mode.

Each dungeon introduces its own unique mechanics, challenging players to change their strategies from one adventure to the next. Each playable hunter has a distinct personality and abilities with 3D miniatures for both hunters and monsters.

The Ultimate Edition adds a cute Beru plushie, a Colossus figure, placements, acrylic standees of the bosses, and other items exclusive to the set.

The game was originally released in Korea, after a succesful crowdfunding campaign on Korean platform Tumblbug in 2024, when the game hit it's funding target in a minute. This is the first time we’ll see the game available for an English-speaking audience.

Solo Leveling is a South Korean fantasy series originally created as a web novel by Chugong in 2016. It hsa since been adapted as an anime, movie, video games, and Netflix are currently producing a live-action television series.
