AdeptiCon Preview – Twisted Followers of Alarielle and Nagash Battle in Briar and Bone

Warcry isn't being left out from the Adepticon Previews! We see a new box set with two warbands - the Teratic Cohorts of the Ossiarch Bonereapers and the Twistweald of the Sylvaneth.

These minis look ace!!! and if the terrain shown in the images are included I may be tempted by this box. Not sure what Warcry is like so I may go watch some videos.

Nestled alongside the two warbands, excited gamers will find a Ravening Gnarloak. aparently, it's a carnivorous tree that is eager to feast on flesh and roaming around the Gnarlwood on "powerful gnarled limbs". Urh, yeah... ok.

There is also an exclusive Warband Tome: Briar and Bone. A banquet of lore, illustrations, rules for both warbands and the Ravening Gnarloak, as well as quests, background tables, a shared campaign arc, and a new Battleplan Generator.

Official announcement can be found here.

Anyone play Warcry? What's it like??

As I prepare for my first venture into Rangers of Shadow Deep, I have decided to take a likely far-from-unique approach to the game's structure. Rather than the standard solo play format of managing one Ranger with a pool of resources for Companions, I'm drawn to handling two Rangers, each with a scaled-down companion pool similar to a multiplayer setup. This dual Ranger strategy is likely a path others have explored in their adventures through this fun game, and it's the path I choose to tread.

'Rangers of Shadow Deep' combines cooperative role-playing with miniature wargaming, brought to life by Joseph A. McCullough. The game stands out for its narrative focus and strategic gameplay, integrating storytelling with tactical decisions.
