Marvel Monday #8

Another Monday...they come around so regularly. Currently trying to get the last bits finished for a weekend of gaming with a twiddler of paintbrushes.

As we plan on doing some co-op MCP Ultimate Encounters I have been getting the big bands done and apart from basing am there with both Ultron and Unstoppable Colossus.

My own force is based around the Shadowland Daredevil story and Kingpin, Elektra and the Hand are also just in need of basing. Luckily I have tomorrow off to get these last bits done.

Hopefully one of us remembers to take photos of the games for me to post next Monday.

Me? Painting? Holy hell I am!

I've got my old mate Mr Quinn coming up for a visit next week and we will be playing a bit of Marvel Crisis Protocol.

Marvel Monday #2

Welcome folks. It's Monday again so here's more MCP stuff for you.

The building of the boxed pile continues and I thought I would show off a couple of the bigger pieces.

Rival Panels are a thing AMG have released for both MCP and Shatterpoint so far and the concept is that it's like looking at a panel from a comic telling the story of two rivals...clever huh.

I grabbed two in a sale that have just sat there ever since but now the cardboard has gone and I just have to store them in a different manner until I get around to painting.

CPE01 is Spidey vs Doc Ock and shows the pair battling it out on the upper levels of a construction site. The dynamism of the models is so much nicer than their counterparts in the classic core set and that is what these models replace. They came with shiny cards which are now out of date anyway. The terrain piece has two flaws really. One is that when you remove the models there are big holes where the bases sit. The second is that the model isn't solid at the back, being designed as a display piece.

CPE03 fixes both of these problems. It is a complete Size 5 terrain piece that would look great on a woodland or winter board. It also comes with replica bases of the ones the models are on allowing you to slot them in and fill those holes.

It also improves upon the other box by having different versions of the models. Both Logan and Sabertooth are more than just alternate sculpts and have completely different cards and rules to the lycra clad versions.

Hopefully I can get this all primed and start getting some paint on ready for next Monday

Marvel Monday #1

Snappy logo huh

Yesterday's Adepticon reveals have got me all excited for Marvel Crisis Protocol but, because I'm that type of hobbyist I have a bit of a backlog already.
