May is almost upon us, and that means it’s time for Warlord Games’ new Soldier of Fortune.
Revealed today on the Warlord Games website, May’s Soldier of Fortune is Lieutenant-General Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart VC. For those who don’t know who that is (as I didn’t), de Wiart was a Belgium soldier who fought for the British army. By the end of his career he’d fought in the Boer War, First World War, and Second World War and been shot in the face, head, stomach, ankle, leg, hip, and ear. There were also more letters after his name than there are on a plate of alphabetti spaghetti.

Warlord Games have released their new US Airborne.
These new multi-part plastic miniatures are sculpted in their early war, reinforced M42 jump uniforms. As is the standard for Warlord Games’ plastics, each sprue sports plenty of options, including various torsos, heads, kit and weapons. These include the M1 Garand and Carbine, Thompson and M3 SMGs, BAR, M1919 Browning light machine gun, a M1903A4 sniper rifle and even a bazooka! Add various magazine pouches, pistols and even a signal lamp, and you’re spoilt for choice.
These new Airborne miniatures are available in a thirty-man platoon or in a starter army. See the Warlord Games website for more details.
