Games Workshop Examine the Martian Civil War

Games Workshop continue to examine the Age of Darkness with a new and forthcoming campaign book for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. This new tome, entitled Campaigns of the Age of Darkness: The Martian Civil War, will expand on the existing lore and present a more thorough examination of the events between the Death of Innocence and the Siege of Terra. In doing so, it will detail a range of battles, personalities and locations with which to inspire players' own wargames and hobbying.

New Blood Angels Available for Pre-order From Saturday



We previewed Games Workshop's new Blood Angels last week, and now the big Gee-Dubya have revealed their new Blood Angels Army Set will be available for pre-order this forthcoming Saturday.

The set will contain a full complement of Blood Angel Death Company warriors. As you'd expect, there are a number of different options for each miniature, including a choice of either a death mask-style helmet or unhelmeted heads, encarmine blades or spears, and angelus boltgun or inferno pistol. You can also pimp one of your new Blood Angels with a Sanguinary Banner.

New Blood Angels Revealed

Another day, another new reveal from Games Workshop. Today's drop focuses on the the literal golden boys of the 40k universe, the Sanguinary Guard.

As the most elite force in the Blood Angels' ranks, you'd expect the Sanguinary Guard to be pretty bling, and you wouldn't be wrong. With their signature encarmine blades, winged jetpacks, Angelus boltguns and golden armour, these guys are—to paraphrase the crew of the Serenity—shiny...

...But not as shiny as their boss.

From the tip of his Iron Halo to his little golden toes, new Sanguinor miniature is suitably ostentatious. Whilst his Messianic pose, impressive wings and elevated position above the tabletop, this is an impressive miniature and one suitable to act a leader for these new Blood Angels miniatures.

These new miniatures—and the accompanying Codex Supplement: Blood Angels—will be available later in the year.
