With the new Kill Team: Hivestorm on the horizon, Games Workshop have given us this detailed look at one of factions included in the box set:

Modiphius are preparing for the October release of Mass Effect The Boardgame - Priority: Hagalaz.
The boardgame centres on a squad of soldiers exploring a crashed starship on the titular planet Hagalaz. Needless to say, said exploration leads to an ongoing struggle with a suite of dangerous enemies. Whilst the soldiers and their enemies are represented by illustrated tokens, Modiphius are also producing a range of 32mm scale resin miniatures to compliment them.
The first wave of these miniatures, entitled The Heroes of the Normandy Alpha, includes six miniatures in alternative poses and features key members of the squad. A neat touch I particularly like is the inclusion of both male and female versions of the team leader, Commander Shepard.
Further sets of miniatures are forthcoming, and will include Reaper Forces, Cerberus Troops and some of the Priority Threats encountered in the crashed cruiser.
See the Modiphius website for more details.

Another day, another preview from Games Workshop. This time they're stylin' and profilin' with the new Kill Team: Hivestorm box set.
An article released today on the Warhammer site describes Hivestorm as 'a whole new edition of Kill Team' which pits two teams of Tempestus Aquilon and Vespid Stingwings against one another. These squads are represented by a host of dynamic, multi-part plastic miniatures.
The box set includes a softback edition of the updated rules (with a hardback version due for release later in the year). This book contains 'Updated rules [that] make it even easier to pit your squad of elite specialists against the best the galaxy has to offer.' The changes to rules are said to be 'clearer and easier to read than ever before', and the rulebook also sports 'design notes and examples [...] to clarify any tricky situations that might occur'.
Also included in the box set, the Kill Team: Hivestorm Dossier contains rules for the Tempestus Aquilon and Vespid Stingwing kill teams, as well as missions and background materials. There's also a wealth of plastic barricades, barbed wire obstacles, ladders, smoke grenades and plastic range markers.
And, just in case you wanted a bit more bang for your buck, the box set will include a pack of Approved Ops cards and two sheets of cardboard counters.
Needless to say, Tabletop Sentinel will bring you all the latest and tastiest Kill Team news just as soon as it breaks.

The Kickstarter for Free League's new Blade Runner expansion may be over, but players can still back the project thanks to late pledges.
Entitled Replicant Rebellion, this new expansion was funded on Kickstarter in a scorching 12 minutes, and attracted more than $400,000 worth of pledges. It allows players to roleplay as members of the Replicant Underground, a network of rebels attempting to secure the rights of Replicants everywhere.
This Kickstarter also includes an Asset Pact for Blade Runner: the Roleplaying Game. Designed to be used with both the Replicant Rebellion expansion and the main games, this asset pack includes physical and digital handouts such as location maps, crime scene photos, NPC mugshots, data sheets, Esper photos, and more.
See the Pledge Manager for more details.
Games workshop have unleashed this superb new trailer for the forthcoming Kill Team release, Operation Hivestorm.
