Gonzo means absurd, crazy, madcap, and anarchic humour. It’s a foundation of any good gonzo post-apocalyptic game because the apocalypse is terrifying. One way of dealing with the helplessness and horror of that reality is to make it absurd. When the end of the world is too awful to face directly, humour gives us a way to look at it without immediately looking away.

This Gonzo Mutant Guide for Atomic Shadows gives stats for 36 mutants with tables to fine tune many of them so that no two encounters are the same. Each Mutant also has two Story Seeds to provide GMs springboards for memorable adventures.
