The Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) awards were first created in 1978, celebrating the best in board and card game design. Even being nominated for the award can bring in a massive sales boost for the games, with the winner often selling 500,000+ copies. It is one of the few awards in the games industry that has a major effect on sales and exposure. The awards, and nominations, are usually covered in the mainstream news in Germany.

Four fantasy-themed rings are displayed prominently, each featuring intricate designs and motifs. The rings include Gravebound Tome with a skull motif, Runic Oath, Elven Crest, and Arcane Sigil, all crafted from brass with an aged finish. Floating around the rings are various polyhedral dice, highlighting the unique feature of each ring containing a hidden compartment for a complete set of miniature RPG dice.

London based design team The BoardGame Zone have launched a Kickstarter for an intriguing set of rings. Why are we, a gaming site, interested in these you may well be pondering? Well, each of these fantasy themed rings includes a vault hidden in the ring which contains a full set of seven polyhedral miniature dice.

Now they have all been immortalised in two new Unmatched sets by Iello which will be hitting stores next week.

It’s been almost forty years since Ereb Altor was first introduced to the world in the Swedish Sinkadus magazine. It became the first major campaign world for the Dragonbane RPG and, thanks to Helmgast AB and Astrolab Game Studios, will be seeing an English-language release later this year after a crowdfunding campaign due this summer.
