The King of Rohan plays a vital part in the defence of the realm. He cannot, however, be at hand on every front, or in every battle fought in the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game. In such situations, his pages serve a vital role.
Lief is one such page. Revealed today on the Games Workshop website, Lief can be fielded as part of Rohan army, and is able to award buffs to fellow Rohan models. These buffs include empowering Rohan heroes to declare Heroic Combat for free; bestowing Woodland Creature, Mountain Dweller and Fearless on friendly Rohan models; and increasing their Move value.

Games Workshop have revealed yet more Middle-earth miniatures.
As seen on the Warhammer Community website, these new additions include the war drakes of Rhûn and the Umbar ballista. The former are fierce, venomous lizards venerated by the Easterlings. Often fielded by larger Easterling armies, war drakes produce a slow-acting venom which inflicts a -1 penalty to the Fight Value and Attacks of any model they wound.
The Umbar ballista, meanwhile, brings some real grunt to the corsairs’ ranged attacks. Benefitting from Strength 8 attacks and the special rules Direct Shot, Piercing Shot and Bladed Bolts, the ballista is enough to make even the bravest enemies scurry for cover.
